SanDisk introduces world's fastest CompactFlash

The new design is based on the standard CFast 2.0, capable of reading at a speed of 450 MB / second.

According to Engadget, the new CompactFlash card from SanDisk is able to read at speeds up to 450 MB / sec and write up to 350 MB / second. Extreme Pro 2.0 is a CFast card 120 GB, made in accordance with the new standard CFast 2.0, which has no pins. So the cameras or shoot that use CompactFlash cards are not compatible with this SanDisk unless the brand provides an adapter.

Thus, for now, the only machine compatible with these cards is the Arri Amira. The press release also indicates that the SanDisk Canon supports the new standard. "With extremely fast speeds, memory cards CFast 2.0 will allow us to develop the next generation of cameras with more powerful features, including the ability to record 4K video in Ultra HD," said Masaya Maeda, Canon's.

SanDisk cards will provide 120 GB and 60 GB, and a USB 3.0 card reader. However, there is still no indication of availability or pricing.
